RV Parks Near Parachute, Colorado
Parachute, Colorado is a small town on I-70, between Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs. It was primarily built around the oil and gas mining industries, but the town also has fishing on the Colorado River and excellent hunting on Battlement Mesa. Parachute has one RV site, and there are several others 20 minutes east in Rifle.

Battlement Mesa RV Park

Battlement Mesa RV Park has 117 sites and can accommodate rigs up to 35 feet in length, though there are also some sites that can hold 45-foot long rigs. Pull-through and back-in sites are available. Full hookups, including 30-amp and 50-amp electric, water, sewer, and cable TV are provided. The site has restrooms, laundry facilities, and showers, and pets are allowed, but there is no Wi-Fi.

Rifle Gap State Park

Rifle Gap State Park is a popular destination for water lovers who enjoy boating, fishing, and swimming on the 350-acre reservoir. The park has 89 campsites spread out over five different campgrounds. Most of the sites have full hookups, with 50-amp electric. Many of the sites are pull-through, but some are back-in. Sites have picnic tables and fire pits. The Cottonwood and Lakeview campgrounds have water and sewer hookups, flush toilets and coin-operated showers. The Cedar, Pinion, and Sage campgrounds have shared water hydrants and pit toilets. There is a central dump station. Rifle Gap State Park is open year round, and accepts reservations from May 1 through October 31.

Rifle Falls State Park

Rifle Falls State Park is east of Parachute, and is a beautiful wooded area. Rifle is very popular with rock climbers, who challenge themselves on the numerous extremely difficult sport-climbs there. The campground has 13 RV sites right on Rifle Creek, and offers 30-amp electric hookups. Each site has picnic tables and fire rings. Water hydrants and bathrooms are located at several spots throughout the campground. The campground is open year round, and accepts reservations from May 1 to October 1. Pets are allowed.
