Campgrounds in Mount Charleston, Nevada
About 30 minutes northwest of Las Vegas, Mount Charleston provides a contrast to the searing desert heat. The peak is located in Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, and rises to an elevation of 11,916 feet. The small village of Mount Charleston is located at 7,510 feet on the mountain's flanks. Mount Charleston offers hiking, camping, and in the winter skiing and snowboarding.

Kyle Canyon

Kyle Canyon is at an elevation of 6900 feet along a creek that has fishing. The campground has 25 sites. There are pit toilets, but no showers. Campers can hike and mountain bike right from the trailhead at the campgrounds. The campground has water spigots. It is open from May to October, is handicapped accessible, and accepts reservations.

Hilltop Campground

Hilltop Campground is located at 8400 feet, has great views of the Mojave Desert, and has 35 sites total. The campground accommodates both tent camping and RVs smaller than 25 feet. Water and showers are available at the campground. The campground is open from May to October, is handicapped accessible, and accepts reservations.

Fletcher View Campground

Fletcher View Campground is at an elevation of 7000 feet and is open year round. The campground is a combined tent and RV site, and has electric hookups for RVs. It is surrounded by pine trees, offering plenty of shade. Reservations are accepted year round. There are flush toilets and water spigots, as well as a park attendant. The site has 12 campsites, and is handicapped accessible.

Dolomite Campground

Dolomite Campground has 31 sites and is at an elevation of 8300 feet. The Bristlecone Trail is accessed from the campground, offering hiking and biking. Flush toilets are on the grounds, and water spigots are available. Firewood is also available for use in the fire pits. The campground is open from mid-May to October, depending on snow levels, and accepts reservations. It is not handicapped accessible.
