Spend the night at the closest RV park to the Portage Glacier. Portage Valley Cabins & RV Park offers 29 sites with electric hookup. Site amenities include a drinking water fill station, hot showers, a community kitchen with gas stoves, pots, pans, utensils and spices that are free for all to use, portable toilets, a store selling basic necessities and a pet-friendly policy. Located in the town of Whittier, visitors will find all manner of recreational activities including glacier cruises, kayaking, scuba diving and hiking. Reservations are accepted.

Seaview RV Park

Drive west to the small town of Hope and park your RV at the Seaview RV Park. The Seaview RV Park offers 16 pull-through sites with electric hookup. Park amenities include he Seaview Cafe and Bar, which offers outdoor and indoor seating, live music weekly on Thursday and Saturday, free Wi-Fi access, a pet-friendly policy and a gift shop. Visitors can pan for gold when not gaping with awe at the nearby mountains. Reservations are recommended. The Seaview is located 20 miles from Portage.

Porcupine Campground

Spend the night as a guest of the U.S. Forest Service at the Porcupine Campground. The Porcupine Campground offers 24 pull-through and big-rig sites. No electric, water or sewage hookups are available. This campground is quite basic but does offer drinking water, picnic tables and portable toilets. Pets are welcome. The site also serves as the starting point for the Gull Rock Trail. Visitors will find that this site sits on the beach and is 22 miles west of Portage.
