Roseburg, Oregon, is in the southwest corner of the state and is near the confluence of the north and south forks of the Umpqua River. The nearby Umpqua National Forest allows visitors to the area access to hiking trails, mountain biking and backpacking. River rafters and kayakers can find opportunities on the Umpqua River. Fishermen can try landing salmon, steelhead and trout on the river. RV travelers have several options in the Roseburg area for parks and campgrounds.

Seven Feathers RV Resort

Seven Feathers has 23 acres and is filled with pine and Douglas fir trees. The campground offers RVs of most sizes sites with hookups for 30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer. Guests can take advantage of free Wi-Fi and cable TV. Pets are allowed if leashed. Showers, bathrooms, a guest room, swimming pool and a dump station are on the premises for guest use. Galesville Reservoir is within a 30-minute drive where anglers can fish. The north and south forks of the Upqua River are within an hour drive where visitors can kayak, raft and fish.

Twin Rivers Vacation Park

Twin Rivers is open year-round and has a range of amenities and services. The Twin Rivers is a Good Sam recognized park and offers visitors a discount with Good Sam memberships. There are sites for RVs of most sizes, as well as primitive tent sites. Hookups include water, sewer and 50-amp electric. Pets are allowed but must be leashed in the park. There are bathrooms and showers, as well as a playground, volleyball court and a guest house. The Boulder Creek Wilderness Area is within an hour drive and has 15 miles of hiking trails.

Umpqua Safari RV Park

Guests hoping to visit the Umpqua Safari, a non-profit zoological preserve with more than 500 species of animals, have convenient access from the Umpqua Safari RV Park. The RV park offers RV sites with 30-amp electric, water, sewer, 78 channels of cable TV and Wi-Fi. Guests can use the showers and bathrooms, picnic tables and barbecue grills and dump station. Pets are allowed but must remain leashed. In addition to the location near the Wildlife Safari, the Umpqua Safari RV Park is near local orchards where visitors can pick there own fruit and the north fork of the Umpqua River.
