Parking your RV at one of the parks around St. Petersburg means putting yourself close to the many water activities available in Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. St. Pete is also the site of six miles of trails through the Boyd Hill Nature Park Trails. Attach your bike to your RV so you can ride the 14.5 miles of the St. Petersburg Ramble.

Robert's Mobile Home and RV Resort is just 15 miles from the beach. There are 449 RV spaces on the site, and 230 offer grassy areas, a patio and full hookups. Robert's RV park is a resort in the truest sense of the word, offering a full platter of amenities and activities. The resort is home to two clubhouses, 12 shuffleboard courts, a nine-hole miniature golf course, heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi, aquatic exercise lessons, pancake breakfast, and karaoke. Busch Gardens amusement park is 25 miles away.

St. Petersburg/Madeira Beach KOA

St. Petersburg/Madeira Beach KOA provides 420 spaces, of which 100 are paved, 167 have grass and patios, and 97 are pull-through sites. Facilities include restrooms and showers, laundromat, grocery and RV supply store. You can take a dip in the heated swimming pool or head over to the Long Bayou for fishing, boating and more high octane water sports like Jet Skiing. The Pinellas County Trail offers the chance to hike and see some native flora and fauna. On-site recreation includes shuffleboard, horseshoes and a playground for the kids. This St. Petersburg RV campground also includes a rec hall and canoe and bike rentals.

Treasure Village Motor Home and RV Park offers well-maintained paved roads that take you to the park's full hookup sites. There are 34 sites, which that offer grassy areas and patios; many of these also offer shade trees. Facilities include a laundromat, game room and rec hall. Bring your best food for grilling because there is a large area for picnics and barbecues. Treasure Island is located close to St. Petersburg Sunken Gardens, where you can walk among cascading waterfalls and more than 50,000 tropical plants. Baseball fans will appreciate the short drive to take in a Tampa Bay Rays game at the Tropicana Field. The trails at Weedon Island State Preserve are just five minutes away.
