West Georgia Attractions

Georgia is a great state to visit if you're looking to have fun in the great outdoors. In western Georgia you could spend days exploring trails, lakes, and rivers in Georgia's large state parks, such as Cloudland Valley State Park and Fort Mountain State Park. A number of campgrounds, including the Doll Mountain Campground, offer rustic accommodations and allow both tents and RVs. For more fun, spend a day at a local amusement park where you can relax and play with family and friends.

Six Flags Over Georgia

Six Flags Over Georgia is a playground designed to make you feel young no matter how old you might be. If you are feeling brave, tackle the new Batman ride and flip and spin your way into mind-numbing dizziness. You can enjoy the rides or take in a live show or an Imax 3D movie. If you have younger children with you, let them visit Bugs Bunny's World where they can learn all they ever needed to know about wascally wabbits and vintage cartoons. Shops and food concession stands are available throughout the park.

Sun Valley Beach

At Sun Valley Beach you can ride one of 11 long water slides near the white sandy beach that has been somehow located in the middle of a Georgia pine forest. Wild river rides, swings, vast lagoons and the largest swimming pool in Georgia are key features at this park. Call ahead and ask about summer camps and other special events that are scheduled on a regular basis. Arrive early on the weekend to stake claim to a picnic area. Food is available for purchase, or you can bring our own.

Mountasia Family Fun Center

Tee it up on the large miniature golf course at Mountasia Family Fun Center or challenge your friends to fast go kart action. If you lose the race, exact your revenge on the bumper boats or bumper cars or in the laser tag play area. A large arcade with skee ball and other classic arcade favorites is also available. Order pizza, hamburgers and hot dogs from the snack bar and then play as much as you can handle. Call ahead to book a private area for parties.
