Original Pizza
Original Pizza is one of Treasure Island's prized Italian eateries. While its pies get rave reviews on tripadvisor.com, the shop is also popular for their subs and calzones. The tiny place, just south of 107th Street, is a hop away from the beach, and the store front is swathed in red, green and white--the Italian flag. Original Pizza also serves up lasagna and other Italian dishes. It's something of a one-stop shop for hungry Treasure Island beach-goers. For a great visit to Original Pizza, come during slow hours and grab the only table outside.

Gigi's Italian Restaurant
The small Gigi's Italian Restaurant is just across the Treasure Island Causeway from St. Petersburg in a tiny strip mall. Its red awning and street-side windows don't exactly look inviting, but it's one of the few authentic Italian restaurants in town. Gigi's has been around since 1967 and has had the slogan "where friends meet to eat," for most of their time in business. It's part of a larger, family-owned local chain--all of which serve homemade sangria and a large selection of wine--that is best known for its pizza. The restaurant opens at 4 p.m. everyday.
