Campgrounds in Lake City, Minnesota
Lake City, Minnesota, is situated in the Mississippi Bluffs Region of the southeastern part of the state. The area is located right along the Lake Pepin shoreline, which provides many year-round recreational activities for visitors such as hiking, swimming, fishing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Many campgrounds can be found in the area.

Hok-Si-La Municipal Park and Campground

Hok-Si-La Park spans 252 acres and is located on Lake Pepin. Tent camping sites are available, giving its guests easy access to scenic lake views and activities such as boating, swimming, hiking and fishing. Bathroom and shower facilities are available as well. The park has 34 regular sites and eight group sites. Cross-country ski trails are open during the winter.

Frontenac State Park

Nature lovers will enjoy this park because it is one of the best spots for bird watching. This wooded river valley area is also appreciated by hikers and skiers. Other activities at the park include fishing, swimming and boating. There are 58 drive-in campsites and 19 electric sites available. Six sites are available for cart-in as well as a group camping area. Frontenac State Park features 13 miles of hiking trails, a 1-mile paved bike trail and 800-foot boardwalk through a wetland forest area. During the winter months, campers can enjoy 5.7 miles of cross-country skiing trails and 5.5 miles of snowmobile trails.

Lake Pepin Campground

Lake Pepin Campground has private sites with 50-amp service, electric and full hookups. Other amenities include a playground and shower and restroom facilities. The park also has a basketball court. Visitors can enjoy views of the lake as well as the Hansen's Harbor and Lake City Marina. This lake is one of the most well-known fishing lakes in southern Minnesota as it is abundant with walleye, white bass northern pike, crappie, rock and largemouth bass.
