Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area
Situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area is named after Florida folk singer Gamble Rogers. The on-site campground has 34 sites with water and electric, is just a short walk from the beach and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. It is located on the primary dune of the beach, can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet and features restrooms with showers, picnic tables and fire rings; pets are allowed. Popular coastal activities include swimming, snorkeling, surfing and sunbathing, or just hanging out at or strolling the beach. Low tide offers great opportunities for bird-watching, and during the summer months, sea turtles lay their eggs in the sand. The Intracoastal Waterway side of the park boasts a boat ramp, and nature and interpretive trails.
