RV Campgrounds Near San Antonio
San Antonio, Texas, is in the Texas Hill Country and has nature-oriented and urban attractions and activities. Visitors can take a tour of the Alamo, go to professional sporting events, or stroll the historic River Walk in the city. The 8,622-acre Government Canyon State Natural Area has 40 miles of mountain biking and hiking trails and is within an hour's drive of San Antonio. Lost Maples State Natural Area, Pedernales Falls State Park and Enchanted Rock State Natural Area are within a couple of hours' drive of San Antonio and have bird-watching, rock climbing, hiking, and biking opportunities. RV travelers have several options for campgrounds near San Antonio.

Traveler's World RV Resort

Traveler's World is close to the River Walk and the Alamo. RVs of most sizes can stay here; hook-ups include water, sewer, cable TV, and 30- or 50-amp electric. The park has Wi-Fi for guest use as well as showers, bathrooms, picnic areas, playground, swimming pool, laundry, dump station, and guest house with kitchen. Pets are allowed if leashed. There are eight miles of hiking and biking trails near the campground. Daily, weekly and monthly rates are offered; Traveler's World is open year-round.

San Antonio KOA

The KOA San Antonio offers visitors a campground on 40 acres of pecan trees and a creek-side location. RVs of most sizes can visit. There are water, sewer, cable TV (for an extra fee,) and 50-amp electric hookups available. Wi-Fi is available for guest use. Pets are allowed if leashed; pets may not be left unattended. There is a fishing pond on the grounds; guests may fish for free. AAA and Good Sam discounts are offered for those with membership cards. San Antonio Missions National Historical Park is within a few minutes of the KOA and the Cascade Caverns are a convenient day trip, about an hour's drive from the city.

Tejas Valley RV Park and Campground

Tejas Valley RV Park and Campground offers sites for most sizes of RVs, and a range of services and hook-ups. There is 30- and 50-amp electric, as well as water, sewer, cable TV, and Wi-Fi with most sites. The campground offers guests use of the swimming pool, laundry room, air-conditioned guest room with kitchen, exercise room, and playground. Pets are allowed, if leashed. The San Antonio Zoo and Sea World are within 30 minutes of the Tejas Valley RV Park. The McAllister Park Trails are about a 30-minute drive and have 20 miles of trail for the single-track enthusiast.
