RV Parks Near La Grange, Kentucky
Sitting on Interstate 71 about 15 miles from Lousiville's main ring road, La Grange is a small town with a good location for RV campers. Situated in the northern Kentucky countryside and surrounded by challenging biking country, it is also close to outdoor attractions such as General Butler and Taylorsville Lake State Park. Best of all, after your RV camping trip is over, putting your rig on I-71 and driving home is a hassle-free matter.

Lake Jericho Recreational Area

A 137-acre lake located about 5 miles from La Grange, the recreational area is open to camping from April through October. There are 62 RV sites, half of which have full hookups and the rest have electrical and water hookups. There is also a dumping station, picnic tables and barbecue grills. Lake Jericho is pet-friendly, but dogs must be kept leashed. The lake has a boat ramp and is open to fishing.

Lake Shelby Campground

Lake Shelby is about 12 miles to the south of La Grange, placing it closer to Interstate 64 than I-71. It has 10 RV sites, all of them with full hookups. RV facilities at the campground are limited to a dump station. The campground has plenty of shade trees, and pets on a leash are allowed. Lake Shelby is 20 acres and has a boat ramp with paddle and row boat rentals, and it is open for fishing.

Kentucky River Campground

This is a lightly forested campground with 109 RV sites, each with full hookups. Campground facilities include an open pavilion with a fireplace, picnic tables, camp store with LP gas sales, coin laundry, playground and courts for basketball and horseshoes. The campground operates its own boat ramp on the Kentucky River, and there is another public boat ramp about a mile away. The Kentucky River Campground is about 30 miles away from La Grange, but most of that drive would be on rural routes rather than highways.
