RV Parks near Fort Lupton, CO
Fort Lupton, north of Denver, Colorado, places travelers in the middle of an area rich in outdoor activities and local community RV parks. Guests may choose from larger parks with a greater number of amenities or smaller, quieter parks. The Fort Lupton Recreation Center provides an indoor wonderland of activities--from a zero entry pool with a lazy river and water slide for kids and lap lanes for serious swimmers to a 27-foot rock spiral for indoor climbing. Non-resident passes are available.

Pepper Pod Campground

Pepper Pod Campground is located in Hudson, 14 miles from Fort Lupton. The campground has pull-through sites 65 feet in length, with a packed gravel base. Full hookups are provided with 30- or 50-amp service and wireless Internet service is available. Several discount cards are accepted, and the management recommends travelers make a reservation to secure a space. Convenience store items, RV supplies and propane sales are offered on site, along with a dump station. The campground has both a wading pool and a swimming pool for recreation. For additional activities, Barr Lake State Park is 15 miles south. The park at Barr Lake has several trails for hiking and mountain biking. Travelers can canoe, sail and sailboard on the lake in summer and cross-country ski in the winter.

Countrywood Inn & RV Park

Longmont is 21 miles outside of Fort Lupton and home to Countrywood Inn and RV Park. The park is small, with only 20 RV spaces available, but it has many attractive features, including privacy fencing and towering shade trees. Full hookups and free Wi-Fi service are provided, electric is 30 or 50 amp and cable TV is available. The park is open all year, and sites can be rented daily, weekly or by the month. The park is located near the trailhead for mountain biking excursions and Union Reservoir Recreation Area--adjacent to Longmont--offers windsurfing, swimming and boating.

Denver Meadows RV Park

Full service and secure, the Denver Meadows RV Park has 278 sites with full hookups, including 20/30/50 amp electric. The park has a large number of pull-through sites and offers 20-by 40-foot sites for longer RVs. Wi-Fi service is free. The park is located in Aurora, 30 miles south of Fort Lupton. Aurora has eight golf courses within 5 miles of the center of town. The Centre Hills Par 3 is a good choice for beginners, while Aurora Hills is a regulation course and more of a challenge for experienced players.
