From Binghamton, you can explore the caverns and sleepy 19th century villages in the surrounding area. Riverside Drive, one of the city's main thoroughfares, doesn't host any hotels, but there are accommodation options within a short drive.

Just a minute's drive north of Riverside Dr., Holiday Inn Express is located in the middle of downtown Binghamton. The hotel is near the Ross Park Zoo, six historic carousels and Mets Stadium. The nine-floor property has 237 rooms and 14 suites with high-speed Internet, mini-fridge and a microwave. Pets are allowed with a $30 per night fee (as of January 2010), and hotel parking is free for registered guests. On-site, you'll find an exercise room, indoor pool, video arcade, cafe restaurant and 24-hour lounge. Kids eat free at the restaurant.
