Macayo's
Opened in 1952, Macayo's has a long history in the Sun City West area. Since 1993 it has won numerous awards for not only its food but also as an employer. Most recently, in 2004, it was named Best Mexican Restaurant--Reader's Choice by the Phoenix New Times; Employer of the Year by Maricopa Workforce Connections; and it received the Arizona Corporate Excellence Award by Phoenix Business Journal.
Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., Macayo's offers a Happy Hour during which time you can enjoy half-price appetizers and drink specials. It also offers both lunch and dinner daily. Its lunch entrees start at $6 and include traditional Mexican fare such as enchiladas, tamales and rellenos. This restaurant offers many specials including salmon del mar, grilled tacos and fajitas. Macayo's signature dish is Chimichanga de Macayo, which is a crispy flour tortilla stuffed with your choice of shredded beef, chicken or carnitas, then covered with relleno sauce and sour cream.

Dillon's Grand
Opened in 1999, Dillon's Grand specializes in American cuisine and barbecue. It serves dinner seven days a week as well as lunch on weekdays. It offers an extensive menu of soups, salads and sandwiches. Its specialties include prime rib platter, Midwestern hot beef, country fried chicken platter, spinach enchilada platter, country fried steak platter, lemon pepper cod, Catfish platter and smoked salmon filet. This restaurant offers daily drink specials from 2 to 7 p.m.; Friday and Saturday nights feature live entertainment. If you want to sit down to a family meal but don't have time to cook, consider Dillon's extensive take-home menu. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Caramba Fresh Mexican Food is affordable Mexican fare. Its food is cooked from scratch and the restaurant doesn't use lard or M.S.G.
