Restaurants in Santa Cruz, Bolivia
Bolivia's largest city may not be high on the list of places to visit for people with Amazonian jungles and mountain lagoons on their minds, but Santa Cruz has a lot to offer in terms of culture, dining and nightlife. There are hundreds of great restaurants offering a variety of both international and regional cuisines. Whether you've just emerged from the jungle or are about to enter it, Santa Cruz will keep you well fed.

Los Hierros

For slow-cooked, juicy Argentine-style steak, Los Hierros is hard to beat. Perhaps the only thing bigger than the cuts of beef is the restaurant itself, which has a spacious main dining area, private room and second-floor terrace. Choose from a long list of various beef cuts, entrails and other "platos de carne." For those who shy away from red meat, Los Hierros also offers boneless chicken, catfish fillet, grilled pork loin and salmon with capers. It's also a great place to try South American red wines, most of which come from the rich wine regions of Argentina and Chile.

Makhassan's feng shui atmosphere is the perfect setting to enjoy a delicious, flavorful meal during your stay in Santa Cruz. Reservations are recommended on weekends.
