Bus Tours to Allentown, Pennsylvania

Bus Tours to Allentown, Pennsylvania
Allentown, nestled between two mountain ranges in eastern Pennsylvania, shares the Lehigh Valley with two sister cities, Bethlehem and Easton. Allentown, the largest of the three, and the third most populous city in the state, is where American patriots hid the Liberty Bell during the Revolutionary War. In addition to historic places in all three cities, Allentown serves as a base for visits to the nearby Pocono Mountains and the Appalachian Trail, which passes just a few miles from town. Easton sits on the Delaware River and offers river rafting. While there are limited scheduled tours to the region, several companies offer charter tours for groups.

Allentown Charter Bus

Allentown Charter Bus, an affiliate of U.S. Coachways, Inc., arranges itineraries to Allentown for groups. Tours can be arranged from most states, and the company offers both large tour buses and smaller vans. It is also affiliated with Hotel Planner, a firm that arranges discount hotel accommodation. Experienced chauffeurs take visitors to Allentown sights, such as Wildwater Kingdom, the Allentown Art Museum and Dutch Wonderland. The firm offers both day and multi-day trips.

Perkiomen Tours

This Pennsylvania-based agency offers both scheduled and charter bus tours. One popular scheduled tour visits Bethlehem, which borders Allentown. Called the "Christmas City," Bethlehem twinkles at Christmas with white lights adorning private residence and business windows alike. It also features Chriskindlmarkt, a German holiday market. Home to the U.S. Moravian Church, the old fashioned central downtown district is a shopping paradise, and is highlighted by the multi-store front Moravian Book Store. The company also offers tours to the Poconos. The modern buses seat 48 to 52 passengers.
