Golden is a town located in the southeast part of the Canadian province of British Columbia. Golden is close to some outstanding national parks such as Banff, Glacier and Jasper. Once you are settled in at one of the many RV parks around Golden, you will want to take advantage of all the hiking, mountain biking and rafting opportunities that abound in this region. And if you visit in the winter, be sure to stop by some of the excellent ski resorts such as Banff.

Golden Eco Adventure Ranch

Golden Eco Adventure Ranch is located just 3 miles from Golden, close to the Columbia River. The park has 94 sites. Fifty of the sites have no hookups, and the remaining sites have water and electricity (30 amps and 50 amps for an additional fee). In addition, the park has a dump station, laundry facilities and grills. Other amenities include a convenience store, a children's playground, Wi-Fi access and bike rentals. Located on 400 acres, the park offers numerous outdoor activities such as whitewater rafting along the Columbia River, hiking and mountain biking. Pets are welcome at Golden Eco Adventure Ranch.

Golden Municipal Campground

The Golden Municipal Campground is located adjacent to the Kicking Horse River. The campground has 72 sites. Seventeen sites have water and electricity, 19 only have electricity, and 36 sites have no hookups. Electricity is available at 20/30 amps. Wi-Fi Internet access is also available at sites for an additional fee as are the showers. Other facilities at Golden Municipal Campgrounds include a dump station, laundry facilities, grocery store and RV supplies. Pets are welcome at the campground as long as they stay on a leash. The campground's location next to Kicking Horse River makes it an excellent venue to try canoeing, kayaking and river fishing.

Whispering Spruce Campground & RV Park

Whispering Spruce Campground is the oldest campgrounds in Golden. It has 135 sites. Thirty-five sites have full hookups, 44 have just water and electricity at 20/30 amps, and the remaining sites have no hookups. Facilities at Whispering Spruce include a dump station, laundry facilities, free Wi-Fi and a convenience store. Amenities at the campground include a recreational area, a playground and a sports field. As with the other RV parks listed, pets also are welcome. Whispering Spruce is open from mid-April to mid-October. Activities available nearby include watching for wildlife such as the Rocky Mountain big horn sheep that visit the campground or hiking along the numerous trails nearby.
