Bend, Oregon is one of the premier recreation towns in Oregon. Thousands of visitors year round head to this region for hiking, rafting, fishing and skiing among the foothills of the Cascade Mountain range. The summer months offer rock climbing, golfing or bike touring while the winter brings plenty of snow for snowshoeing, cross country skiing or enjoying an in-town tour of several restaurants, entertainment venues and micro-breweries.

Crown Villa RV Resort

The Crown Villa is located south of Bend and has scored five stars from Woodall's Campground Directory. All 106 sites are landscaped, shaded and are equipped with cable TV and wireless access, individual storage bunkers and 1,600 square foot patios. The grounds include 25 acres of manicured lawns and stands of mature trees. Park amenities include a clubhouse with a spa and fitness center, tiled restrooms and showers, laundry facility, courtyard with large gas-fired cauldrons, shuffleboard, horseshoes, concierge service from on-site hosts and a convenience store that carries RV parts. A dump station and propane are available as well as a pet run. Online reservations are available for daily, weekly or monthly rates.

Tumalo State Park

Tumalo resides along the banks of the Deschutes River, five miles from town. This state park has several miles of hiking and biking trails, playgrounds, and picnicking and swimming sites at the water's edge. All 23 full hook-up sites offer sewer, electricity and water. Aside from the recreational opportunities, the park has ADA restroom and shower facilities, including a solar shower building. Firewood and ice are for sale at the visitor center but the park does not have a dump station. Seasonal rates are available and reservations can be made online.

Crane Prairie Resort and RV Park

This resort and RV Park is located on the Crane Prairie Reservoir, 30 miles southwest of town and offers guided fishing tours for trout and bass and the chance to watch for osprey, bald eagles and the sand hill cranes that frequent the shoreline. Resort amenities include boat and equipment rentals, marina and moorage, fuel station, bait and tackle shop and fish cleaning stations. Full hook-up sites are available on shaded pads in 18 acres of mature pine forest. This resort is in a national wildlife refuge and is operated through special permit through Deschutes National Forest.
