RV Parks in the Corpus Christi, Texas Area

RV Parks in the Corpus Christi, Texas Area
The Corpus Christi area is an appealing place for outdoor lovers to hook up their recreational vehicle since so many ways to enjoy nature exists there. The Island Breeze Ramble is a 21-mile long bike trail that takes you past the USS Lexington among other sites. South Padre National Seashore offers the chance to go camping, fishing, gaze at the stars and maybe even catch the release of baby turtles back into the sea.

Laguna Shore Village

Laguna Shore Village has plenty of sites that feature a grassy area next to them for enjoying an outdoor meal. The sites include 20/30/50-amp electrical hookup and wireless Internet. Free cable television is available. Pets are welcome as long as they remain leashed and well-behaved. The park is adjacent to Laguna Madre's shallow channel, which separates North Padre Island from the Texas coast. Here you can enjoy fishing as well as windsurfing, sailboarding and kiteboarding.

Greyhound RV Park

Greyhound RV Park gets its name from being located right next to the Greyhound Race Track so this is either a very good or very bad choice for those who like to bet on the dogs. The RV sites include full hookups, and the site offers laundry facilities and a convenience store. Pull-through sites are available, and reservations are recommended. Fans of the late Tejano music queen Selena will find a museum honoring her memory nearly as close as the greyhound park. The park is about 20 miles from the beach. The Island Ramble is five miles away from this RV park.

Padre Palms

Padre Palms offers pull-through sites with full hook-ups. If you don't like sand between your toes or crabs nipping at your heels then do a cannonball into the on-site swimming pool. The park also features restrooms and hot showers, a book exchange program, cable television and laundry facilities. You can also show up for the weekly potluck dinners and the Saturday morning breakfast. The beach along the bay is within 500 feet of the RV sites and provides the chance to work up a sweat while kayaking or windsurfing or drop a line and wait for a bite. If you've brought bikes you might want to ride the 12 miles to the USS Lexington. Naval Air Station, Corpus Christi is less than a mile away.
