Patagonia, Ariz., is in the middle of Coronado National Forest and 19 miles from the Mexican border. There are opportunities for outdoor recreation in the forest, including hiking, mountain biking, camping and cave exploration. Patagonia has wineries, hiking trails and nearby ghost towns. Other nearby destinations include Tucson and Tombstone.

Mountain View RV Ranch

Mountain View RV Ranch is in Amado, 40 miles northwest of Patagonia. Hiking is available in the Madera Canyon. Amenities include a laundry facility, bath houses, restrooms, store, outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi. Selected sites have pull-thrus. Spaces include full hookups and cable. A limited number of sites also have phone connections. Rate options include daily, weekly and monthly.

Mountain View RV Park

Located in Huachuca City, Mountain View RV Park is 35 miles east of Patagonia. Tombstone is nearby, as are Parker Canyon Lake and Coronado National Monument. The park has a clubhouse with book and video library, games, phones, exercise area and crafting space. Other features include a laundry room, bath houses and storage area. Selected sites are pull-thru and all have full hookups. Both 30- and 50-amp alectric are available and all sites come with concrete patios.
