Lancaster, Ohio, is home to several museums, including the Doll & Toy Museum, Ohio Glass Museum and the Georgian Museum. This area also has more covered bridges than any other part of the state. Nature preserves, historic parks and city parks are available for visitors as well. To complement the easy-going nature of a vacation to Lancaster, several RV parks are available with activities such as fishing, scuba diving and mini-golf.

Lancaster Camp Ground

The Lancaster Camp Ground, located within the city of Lancaster, Ohio, is open from April 1 to Oct. 31. Water and 50-amp service is available at every site. There is no tent camping available. Overnight guests are welcome to free use of the dump station. Pets are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash. A swimming pool is located on site for summer guests. As of January 2010, the rate is $20 per night or $120 per week. Reservations are accepted, but guests can also show up to the site on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lakeview RV Park & Campground

The Lakeview RV Park & Campground is open year-round. Located within the city of Lancaster, this campground offers both RV and tent camping. RVs will find pull-through sites with full hookups including 30- and 50-amp service, water and concrete patios. Amenities include full bathrooms, a dump station and a camp store stocked with ice, firewood and basic camping items. Swimming, boating and scuba diving are available on site. Aquatic life in the lake includes bluegill, crappie, catfish, bass and clams. Current rates and availability can be requested online or by phone.

KOA Kampgrounds

The KOA Kampgrounds in Buckeye Lake, Ohio, are within half an hour of Lancaster. This site is open from April 1 through Oct. 31. RV sites, tent camping and cabin rentals are all available. RV campers will find both pull-through and back-in sites with the choice of full hookups or just water and electric. Cable television, free Wi-Fi and 50-amp service is available on full hookup sites. Guests can also enjoy the snack bar, Kamping Kitchen, swimming pool, game room, mini-golf course, basketball courts and bike rentals offered on site. Pets are welcome and can enjoy the fully enclosed "Bark Park" with agility structures. Rates fluctuate with the season and length of stay. Availability and current rates are available online.
