Bicycling Clubs in Orange County, New York

Bicycling Clubs in Orange County, New York
Orange County has many picturesque cycling opportunities. The key is to find a club that does your kind of riding. Spanning the greater Hudson River region between New York and New Jersey, Orange County offers a few clubs that offer regular rides. Before joining, ask if you can participate in one ride to get a feel for the group and ensure these are people you'd like to ride with on a regular basis.

This club serves New York and New Jersey residents. It launched a new website in January of 2010 and was still in the process of building out content. The club posts all of its coming rides on the site via a public calendar.

Bike Shop-Sponsored Rides

In addition to the two clubs listed above, check with the Orange County bike shops. Most shops offer regularly scheduled rides and have a fun, club-like atmosphere. Rides vary throughout the week and can usually accommodate many different skill levels. No-drop format rides are good for those just beginning, and more experienced riders can look for harder rides.
