Emerald Trails Campground
Emerald Trails Campground, located in nearby Crete, Illinois, boasts a total of 140 camp and RV sites. Of these, 130 have 30-amp service and 10 have 50-amp service. Located in Portage, Indiana, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort is sure to be a hit with children who are fan of the fun-loving bear. Every month has themed activities and events throughout the campground, such as Christmas in July. Full hookups, pull-though sites, tent sites and cabin rentals are available. Lake Holiday boasts "Country Camping at its Best" and offers a wide range of activities to back up its claim. In addition to RV sites with full hookups, tent sites and primitive camp sites are available. A disposal station, propane station and full bathrooms with showers are located on site. The camp store is stocked with firewood, ice and groceries. Two swimming pools, a water slide, horseshoe pits, a fishing lake, tennis courts and basketball courts are provided to keep campers busy outdoors. When you want a break from these traditional camping activities, you can also enjoy the movie area or daily crafts and activities that take place in the recreation hall. As of January 2010, the daily rate for RVs is $39 and the weekly rate is $234.
