Blairsville, Ga.is situated in the Appalachian Mountains in the northern part of the state. It is surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Campers can marvel at the area's scenic sights as well as the recreational opportunities Blairsville has to offer, including water sports like fishing, swimming and rafting. Visitors can also enjoy the many hiking trails, as well as horseback riding. Local attractions include lakes Nottely and Winfield Scott. There are several campgrounds and RV parks in and around the Blairsville area.

Nottely River Campground

Nottely River Campground has sites for RVs, tents, rental cabins and pop-up campers. All sites include water and power. The camp also features a bathhouse, table and fire ring for each site, riverfront sites, and full hookups for RVs. Campers can enjoy activities on-site such as fishing, tubing, birdwatching, swimming, bicycling and hiking.

Trackrock Campground and Cabins

This campground has 300 acres of land with RV campsites and cabin rentals. Some RV sites have full hookups and others have water and electricity only. Pull-through sites and 30/50-amp services are available. Other camp amenities are bathhouse, playgrounds, summer horse camps, laundry facilities, picnic tables and fire rings. A lakeside and a rustic wooden cabin that sleeps from two to eight comes equipped with stone fireplaces, air conditioning and satellite TV. Campers can enjoy many outdoor activities on-site, including horseback riding, fishing, tubing, rafting, swimming, boating and hiking.

Riverbend Campground

Riverbend campground offers 101 RV sites with full hookups, 20/30/50-amp service, cable TV, fire rings, and Internet connection. Riverside sites and pull through sites are available. Other amenities include a swimming pool, pavilions, recreational area and a clubhouse. Guests can fish on-site at the Hiawassee River. Other activities include tubing, kayaking, canoeing and hiking. Lake Chatuge is approximately 9 miles away offering more outdoor recreation.
