Beloit is near the center of the southern border of Wisconsin. This location provides travelers a central hub to travel on to the cities of Milwaukee and Chicago, the lakes of Wisconsin and the state of Iowa. Beloit has few RV park options of its own, but neighboring communities have several parks to offer--from family-friendly parks packed with scheduled activities to parks offering convenient access to recreation close to nature.

Rivers Edge Campground

Rivers Edge Campground is 10.5 miles outside of Beloit. The campground provides RV sites and a dump station, laundry facility, restroom, and showers for comfort and convenience. The park sells firewood and bottled propane fuels on site. Rates are available for daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal stays. Active travelers need not leave the grounds to find opportunities for sports and recreation. The park offers a private pond, a boat ramp on the Pecatonica River and nearby access to two other rivers: the Sugar and Rock rivers. Guests may hike the area or explore the waters by boat. Facilities for volleyball, basketball and horseshoes are provided and the park has a playground for the kids.

Sugar Shores RV Resort

Less than 22 miles west of Beloit, Sugar Shores is on the Sugar River and offers wooded sites in a gated park. The sites have full hook-ups, 50-amp service, Wi-Fi, and satellite television. A septic treatment plant and convenience store are on site for greater convenience. The park hosts planned events and activities. Take refuge in the clubhouse and game room or head outdoors to play. The park has a heated swimming pool, shuffleboard, horseshoes, basketball, and volleyball. Guests also have access to 1/4 mile of river bank. Less than 21 miles from the park, Anderson Japanese Gardens offers both guided tours and self-guided walks along the garden trails.

Jellystone Park of Fort Atkinson

Jellystone Park, 35 miles north of Beloit, is worth considering if you are traveling with children. The park offers a full-time activities director and supervised activities. Live entertainment and movies are scheduled regularly. Indoors, try the video game room and table games. Outdoors, the park has a long list of sports and games. The family can enjoy tennis, volleyball, Frisbee golf, basketball and baseball, and games like shuffleboard and horseshoes. Sites include 30- and 50-amp electric and picnic tables. Centrally located showers and restrooms and an RV dump station are provided. Cave of the Mounds, 57 miles from the park, offers a day-trip destination or stop for those traveling through to Iowa. The grounds have butterfly gardens, cave tours and nature trails for hiking.
