The grounds encompass 50 acres and have a nature trail for hiking and exploration. Walking tours are available of the museums of the Smithsonian, 29 miles away in Washington, D.C., and the United States Naval Academy, 14 miles away in Annapolis.

Cherry Hill Park

Cherry Hill Park is located in College Park, less than 20 miles from Odenton. The park has 400 sites with water, sewer, cable and 20/30/50 amp electric. Travelers can request a pull-through site, and propane and firewood are available for sale. The park has a nature trail, two pools, a sauna and hot tub for exercise or relaxation. Kids will appreciate the playground, mini-golf and arcade. Patuxent Research Refuge is located between the cities and is home to a tour of the Great Eastern Hardwood Forest and wildlife habitats. Tours also depart from the park to Washington, D.C.

Duncan's Family Campground

Lothian is less than 25 miles south of Odenton and home to Duncan's Family Campground. The campground offers sites with free cable television and Wi-Fi service. A dump station and trash pickup are provided. RV repair, propane, firewood and ice are all available on site. Guests can enjoy mini-golf, beach volleyball and swimming, along with special weekend activities. The grounds have two playgrounds and a dog park, plus a nature trail for hiking or jogging. Tours of Washington, D.C. leave from the park, and a van will take you to the Metro system if you prefer to venture out on your own.
