RV Parks in Mobile, Alabama

RV Parks in Mobile, Alabama
The city of Mobile lies on the west bank of the delta formed by the Mobile, Blakeley, Tensaw, Apalachee and Spanish Rivers as they converge into Mobile Bay. Another convergence lies within the city as Interstate 65 stretching from Chicago intersects with the transcontinental highway, Interstate 10. Those traveling along either of these national arteries looking for a rest will find a slice of Southern charm awaiting them at the RV parks in the Mobile area. This charm combined with a wealth of estuarine natural attractions can easily transform a traveler's rest stop into a traveler's destination.

Meaher State Park

The USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park and downtown Mobile are a straight shot from Meaher State Park on the eastern side of the Mobile delta. While not actually in Mobile, it's just a short hop across the bridge, in Spanish Fort. A boat ramp and 300-foot fishing pier aids anglers and boaters in enjoying the richness of this estuary. An extended stay at this park is facilitated by the full-hookup RV sites accompanied by a bath house and laundry facilities. Hiking trails include a boardwalk that takes the trekker through the park's ecosystems.
