Lake Murray, South Carolina RV Parks
Lake Murray occupies 78 square miles in the center of South Carolina. The lake is a popular vacation spot and ideal for swimming, fishing and boating activities. Several campgrounds are located around the lake, although many are privately owned and require long-term rental commitments. Those looking for RV accommodations should call ahead and reserve a space as parks fill up fast during busy times throughout the year.

Dreher Island State Recreation Area

Dreher Island State Recreation Area consists of three islands located on Lake Murray and connected to the mainland by two bridges. Camping is available at two separate camping areas for a combined total of 97 RV accessible campsites with water and electric hook ups. Some sites can accommodate RVs up to 45-feet long while others are only large enough for 30-foot RVs. Modern restrooms and showers are located near the campsites, and all sites have easy access to Lake Murray. Other amenities nearby include sheltered picnic tables and children's playgrounds. The area also features two hiking trails ranging from 1/4 mile to 2.1 miles and .33 mile loop for foot and bike traffic.

Siesta Cove Marina

The Siesta Cove Marina located on Lake Murray has tent and RV campsites with water and electric hook ups. Other amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, picnic area, modern restrooms and showers, boat ramp, gas dock, fish cleaning station and an on-site store selling snacks and beverages. Visitors will find several restaurants including a Subway, a barbecue casual sit-down restaurant and a sport's bar within 5 miles of the marina. Basic toiletries and grocery items can be purchased at the Quick Stop less than 3 miles from the marina.

Edmund RV Park

The Edmund RV Park covers 14-wooded acres approximately 10 miles away from Lake Murray. The park has 125 grassy sites with full hook ups including water, electric and sewer. Most sites are pull-through and can accommodate two extra vehicles in addition to your RV. Other amenities include modern restrooms with showers and laundry facilities. The surrounding area features more than a dozen restaurants within 5 miles of the campground including a Sonic drive-in, sports bar and grill and a small cafe.
