Bonner County, Idaho, is in the northern panhandle of the state. Bonner County has mountains, lakes, forests and several communities, such as Sandpoint and Ponderay. Within the county are parts of the Coeur d'Alene National Forest, Kaniksu National Forest and the Kootenai National Forest. Hiking trails, mountain biking, lake kayaking, fishing, camping and rock-climbing opportunities abound within these national forests and the Bonner County area.

Lake RV has sites for most size RVs and offers a range of amenities. Hook ups include 30- or 50-amp electric, water, cable TV, sewer and Wi-Fi. The Lake RV is only 11 miles to Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort and guests who ski there can show their pass to the RV park management to receive $2 off the campsite fees. There is a laundry facility, shower room, bathrooms and picnic tables on the grounds for guest use. Pets are welcome. Daily, weekly and monthly rates are available.

Trestle Creek RV Park

Trestle Creek RV Park offers guests RV sites with 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer and cable TV. Pets are allowed. There are showers and toilets, a barbecue area and a restaurant on the grounds for guest use. Guests looking for hiking can find it at Gold Hill, about 30 minutes from the Trestle. Other nearby hiking areas include Beaver Lake, Brush Lake and Mount Casey. Bikers looking for trails can find them at Schweitzer Mountain and the Hiawatha Trail, a 14-mile trail in the national forest.

Silverwood Theme Park and RV resort

The Silverwood Theme Park and RV Resort offers RV travelers a campground within a water amusement park. There are sites for all size RV. Sites have 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. The resort has playgrounds, game rooms, laundry, guest house, hot showers and private bathrooms, picnic areas and a dump station. Pets are welcome but must be on leashes. No open fires are permitted at the Silverwood. The amusement park has more than 65 rides. Nearby attractions include Roman Nose Lake and Scotchman Peak, where kayaking and hiking opportunities can be found.
