RV Parks in Maine
A trip to Maine can vary widely depending on the season your travel takes place. Maine has a variety of wooded areas and hiking and biking trails for summer travel, and winter brings opportunities for snowshoeing, skiing, cross-country skiing and ice skating. Many RV parks are only open seasonally, although a few do brave the cold winters for hardier travelers looking to enjoy the snowfall.

Flat Rock Bridge Family Resort

The Flat Rock Bridge Family Resort is located on the southern coast of Maine approximately 90 miles from the city of Boston. The park is open seasonally from approximately mid-May to late September and features 350 campsites located on 79 acres. Water and electric hook ups are available at all sites, and select sites also feature sewer and cable hook ups. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, modern restrooms and showers and an on-site convenience store. Recreational amenities of the resort include two heated swimming pools, giant water slide, three children's playgrounds, basketball court, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, 18-hole mini-golf course and a 100-seat movie house. One pet per campsite is allowed for an additional charge of $5 per night as of January 2009.

Arndt's Aroostook River Lodge and Campground

Arndt's Aroostook River lodge is located in northern Maine on the banks of the Aroostook River and is open year-round. The lodge offers multi-day kayak and canoe trips and snowshoe outings. Several mountain biking and cross-country trails can be found a short drive away. The campground features 10 RV sites with full hook ups including water, electric and sewer and 45 RV sites with only water and electric hook ups. Other amenities include a dump station, restrooms and showers, laundry facilities and a camp store with basic toiletries and snacks.

Colonial Mast Campground

The Colonial Mast Campground is open year-round and located on Long Lake in western Maine. The park has 110 campsites with most sites featuring full water, electric and sewer hook ups. The remaining sites have water and electric hook ups only. The campground has restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, on-site camp store and a dumping station. Visitors during the winter months can enjoy ice-fishing, cross-country skiing and ice skating on Long Lake, and summer visitors will find a variety of hiking and mountain biking trails nearby. Other amenities include a heated indoor pool and hot tub that are open year-round, children's playground and a recreation hall with an arcade.
