Mahwah is a township in Bergen County, New Jersey, just south of the border with New York State. Mahwah is home to the 3,313-acre Ramapo Valley County Reservation with its 22-acre Scarlet Oak Pond, campsites and hiking trails. Mahwah also has restaurants with different styles and menus where you can relax with a good meal after a day of adventure.

River Palm Terrace

The River Palm Terrace serves New American cuisine in a dressy/casual atmosphere. The meat is prime grade and dry-aged for 28 days, the seafood comes from a local market daily, and speciality items from around the country are flown in especially for the restaurant. The River Palm Terrace also offers an award-winning wine list. Reservations are recommended. The menu features 14-oz. or 17-oz. New York shell steak, filet mignon, sliced filet mignon w/ mushrooms, onions, peppers and pimientos, porterhouse, T-bone, loin veal chop and chopped sirloin steak. Double-cut loin lamb chops, Cajun, grilled or broiled jumbo shrimp, country-style chicken, grilled chicken breast, whole lobster and lobster tails are good choices if you're not in the mood for beef.
