Romantic Seattle Restaurants

Romantic Seattle Restaurants
Few cities can rival Seattle for the sheer number of options available to outdoor enthusiasts. Seattle boasts over 400 parks and conservation areas that provide more than 100 miles of hiking trails. If the water beckons, the city is perfectly situated for kayaking, boating and windsurfing. If you enjoy fishing, the city boasts a number of fishing piers for anglers, or if you prefer fly fishing, a number of rivers and streams provide plenty of options.

While "Sleepless in Seattle" is simply a movie, the city does offer a number of restaurants that cater to those seeking romance.

Rialto Pasta Bar and Grill

Rialto Restaurant is a labor of love by owner Rudy La Valle. The cozy restaurant in the city's Fremont district attracts foodies from across the city for its authentic menu and excellent service. The menu features many traditional Italian offerings, but true connoisseurs never miss an opportunity to taste Rudy's famous red sauce. This sauce, served over handmade pasta and meatballs, creates a perfect "Lady and the Tramp" moment for couples seeking romance.

Maximilien Restaurant

Few restaurants in Seattle can rival the views diners can experience at Maximilien Restaurant. The French bistro offers a panoramic view of Elliott Bay from its dining room, patio and upstairs bar, creating the perfect atmosphere for a romantic dinner. The menu pairs traditional French cooking methods with local ingredients for a wonderful fusion of tastes. Duo de canard sees duck Magret and leg confit served with gratin Dauphinois, asparagus and an orange demi-glace. For dessert, embrace the French style and enjoy the soufflé.

That's Amore Restaurant

With sweeping views of Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountain range, That's Amore is one of the few restaurants in the city that can rival Maximilien for romantic settings. The mid-priced restaurant features an extensive menu that includes items such as locally made sausage made with fresh basil and bel paese cheese served with bigoli al pesto with grilled portobello mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes and grana padano and pecorino Romano cheeses. Be sure to ask for a table by the window.
