Situated in the western central portion of Georgia and almost on the state line of Alabama is LaGrange. Outdoor activities abound in the area. Bass anglers come from around the country to fish West Point Lake or on the Chattahoochee River, which are just outside the city limits. RV campers can choose to stay within the city limits, or surrounded by the forest in the city's several campgrounds.

Hoofers

Located within the city of LaGrange is Hoofers. Hoofers offer 162 concrete sites with water and electric; sewer hookups are available at 33 sites. The park has bathrooms, showers and is wheelchair accessible. This is a no-frills RV park. Guests can enjoy the Hoofers restaurant located next to the park, which offers a lunch buffet and southern cooking. There is a gospel and bluegrass barn on site, with top acts from around the country performing there. Anglers, boaters, hikers and wildlife enthusiasts will appreciate that West Point Lake is approximately 15 miles from the park.

Pyne Road Park Campground

Operated by the city, the Pyne Road Park Campground is open March through November, depending on the local road conditions. The campground situated within a 458-acre park, is walking distance from the Chattahoochee River and West Point Lake. There are 28 full hook-up sites. Visitors can utilize the park's boat ramp, nature trails, bathrooms and showers, and can fish from the riverbank or swim. The McGee Bridge Recreation Area is approximately one mile from the park.

Stateline Campground

Administered by the National Forest Service, Stateline Campground offers 122 campsites; 56 sites have water and electric. Some of the sites are shady. The park has a laundry facility, playground, bathrooms, showers, tennis courts and public phone. Hikers and wildlife enthusiasts will appreciate the parks nature trails. Boaters and anglers can utilize the park's boat ramp, or fish from the shores of West Point Lake. Swimmers and water skiers can utilize the lake too.

3 Creeks RV Campground

3 Creeks RV Campground is a family operated business that is located just off West Point Lake. The campground offers full hook-up RV sites, as well as sites for tents. The campground is set in a shady oak setting. Guests can utilize the free Wi-Fi, picnic area, showers, bathrooms and laundry facility. There is a catfish pond on site and boaters and anglers are only one-quarter mile from the boat ramp into West Point Lake. The campground is located next door to a water park and skating rink.
