RV Parks Near Central City, Colorado

Central City is a small historic town in the mountains of Colorado and offers visitors attractions such as casinos, shops and old buildings. Visitors wanting an RV park will find several in the surrounding area that make a good base camp for exploring Central City and the mountains. There are plenty of recreational and hiking opportunities in the surrounding area, and visitors can also hike around the city and view its unique historical homes and remnants of the past mining trades, which are all on Central City's walking trail.

Cottonwood RV campground is located 13 miles from Central City in Idaho Springs and is set in a rural setting with forested sites. It is in a mountain valley that provides picturesque views and a convenient location close to many recreational opportunities, including skiing, hiking and fishing. RV sites are spacious and include a full hookup, cable TV and wireless Internet. There are a few waterfront sites that abut a small mountain stream that flows through the park where guests can fish.

Dakota Ridge RV Resort

Dakota Ridge RV Resort is 24 miles to the east of Central City on the western edge of Golden, Colorado. It is set in an urban environment on the edge of the mountains, making its location convenient for visitors who want to explore the mountains but be close to the city's amenities. Dakota Ridge RV Resort offers 114 full-service sites that have a paved pad with pull-through and back-in sites available. Amenities include a large outdoor pool area with a hot tub, putting greens and playground as well several dog walking areas. Other amenities include a shower and bath facility, laundry room, gift shop as well as mail service, storage and large clubhouse. Throughout the year, visitors can participate in activities such as suppers and live entertainment.

Clear Creek RV Park

Clear Creek RV Park is owned and operated by the city of Golden, Colorado, and is 21 miles east of Central City. The park is within walking distance to historic downtown Golden where guests will find many dining and shopping opportunities. Clear Creek RV Park features 22 full hookup sites as well as 11 electric-only and three tent sites. A large restroom building includes showers and a laundry facility. Visitors can play tennis and basketball at the adjacent city park.
