RV Parks on The Lake in Belton, Texas

Belton Lake is about three miles north of the city of Belton on the Leon River. It's in the northern part of Bell County, Texas. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers created the Lake in 1954 to assist with flood damage reduction in the Brazos River Basin. The lake also serves as water supply, fish and wildlife habitat and a recreation area for the public. People often enjoy camping in both tents and RVs, fishing, hunting, boating, swimming, nature trail hiking, biking, horseback riding, bird watching and wildlife viewing in this area.

Live Oak Ridge Park

Offering both RV and tent camping sites, Live Oak Ridge Park has 48 sites with water and electricity hookups. The park features large oak trees, restrooms with flush toilets, hot showers, free wireless Internet access, two-lane boat ramp, playground, dump station and laundry facility. The area offers nature trails for hiking and horseback riding, water recreation and picnic facilities. The park is located directly on the lake shoreline and is open year round.

Cedar Ridge Park

Situated on Lake Belton, Cedar Ridge Park offers both RV and tent camping sites with water and electricity hookups at all 76 sites. The park features a two-lane boat ramp, fishing dock, swim beach, playground, basketball court, marina, covered pavilion, restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers, dump station and laundry facility. Water recreation opportunities and hiking trails are nearby. Some sites are closed December through March.

Westcliff Park

Offering 31 tent and RV camping sites on Belton Lake, Westcliff Park has 27 sites equipped with water and electric hookups. The park features a swim beach, two-lane boat ramp, playground, dump station and restrooms with showers. The area also offers picnic facilities. The campground is open year round and is staffed with full-time gate attendants.

White Flint Park

A 25-site campground, White Flint Park has 13 RV sites with water and electric hookups and 12 screened shelter sites. The park features a boat ramp, fishing dock, barbecue grills, restrooms with hot showers, gatehouse, dump station and paved roads. The area offers abundant water recreation and the park is open year round.

Winkler Park

Located on the shores of Lake Belton, Winkler Park is a primitive campground with 14 sites equipped with water hookups. The park allows RV and tent camping and features barbecue grills, security lights, paved roads, restrooms with hot showers, fishing dock and campground host. The area offers river access, biking trails, water recreation and wildlife viewing opportunities. The park is open year round.
