RV Parks in Tonopah, AZ

Tonopah, Ariz., is a small community to the west of Phoenix. The area is surrounded by mountains and the Hassayampa River. The region is a popular destination for mountain biking, desert hiking, rock climbing and kayak touring. The Ben Avery Trail, a 12-mile hike, is in the nearby Eagletail Mountains Wilderness. The Courthouse Rock section of the Eagletail Wilderness has climbing routes.

The Big Horse Mountain Wilderness is within a 30-minute drive from the campground and hikers can find trails for walks and hikes.

Destiny RV Park Phoenix West

The Destiny RV Resort Phoenix West has citrus and fruit trees on the property and guests are encouraged to "help themselves" to the grapefruits, oranges and lemons when ripe. The area has mountain scenery and desert wildlife. Hiking trails are nearby. The resort has 20-, 30- and 50-amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. RVs of all sizes can be accommodated. Amenities include showers, private toilets, picnic areas, barbecue sites, guest house, swimming pool, fitness center, shuffleboard, spa, laundry and a fenced pet-walk area.

Stage Stop RV Park

The Stage Stop RV Park is in the center of Tonopah and has hookups that include 30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer. There is a shower room, private bathrooms and a laundry facility on the grounds. Pets are allowed but must be leashed in the park. The Hummingbird Springs Wilderness is nearby for hiking and mountain biking.
