Temple, Ga., sits between two lakes, Stevens Lake and Easterwood Lake, and along two major highways--I-20 and Highway 78--running through the state. The area is popular for boating, fishing and swimming in the lakes, but also for the nature trails and wildlife viewing. Temple is 45 miles west of Atlanta.

Big Oak RV Park Resort

Located in Tallapoosa, the resort is 20 minutes from Temple. The park offers full hookup sites with water, sewer and electric, as well as shade trees on most spots. Showers and restrooms are available, and all sites have a concrete pad.

Sweetwater Valley Park

Villa Rica is 20 minutes from Temple and the site of the Sweetwater Valley Park. The gated park offers pull-thru and back-in full hookup sites, with electric, water and sewer. Amenities include a laundry room, driving range, dump station, showers and restrooms, playground, horseshoe pits, a volleyball court and walking trails. Guests also have access to gem mining and a fully stocked kitchen.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park

The park is less then 20 minutes from Temple and close to popular tourist attractions, including museums and amusement parks.
