Camping & RV Parks in Lake City, Colorado

Camping & RV Parks in Lake City, Colorado
Lake City, Colorado, is the county seat and only town in Hinsdale County, making it isolated and quiet. In fact, Hinsdale is the most remote county in the lower 48 states of America. The area is perfect for hiking, fishing and wilderness exploring. The small community offers local restaurants, stores for stocking up on supplies, and a number of RV parks and campgrounds where you can stay at while exploring the region.

Woodlake Park

Woodlake Park campground is located approximately 2.5 miles south of Lake City's center. It sits on the river and is accessed by the Silver Thread Scenic Highway. The campground is open from May until October, and it offers 25 pull-through campgrounds for RVs or tents. Each spot is wide enough for RV pull-outs on both sides. Private accommodations also are available on-site, including two cabins, a vacation home and an efficiency studio. Local activities include kayaking, horseback riding, fishing, and mountain biking. On-site amenities include showers, power connections, fresh water and free wireless Internet as well as hard-point Internet connections.
