Just a few minutes' drive will take you to the Rainbow Valley Loop, a 6.2-mile bike trail on the northwestern end of the Sierra Estrella mountains and the easy 1.75-mile Mayors Loop Trail hike. A little further away you can camp overnight at the Valley of the Sun Campground. Baseball fans may want to arrive in Goodyear to catch spring training games for the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Indians.

Destiny RV Resorts

Destiny RV Resort is just five miles west of Goodyear and offers full hook-ups at all sites. The outdoor pool is heated; a spa is also available. Destiny plays hosts to several RV rallies, so you may want to consider this if you belong to an RV club looking for a place to rally. Other facilities include a laundromat and fitness center. Bring your pet and take advantage of the fenced-in pet walk area. Destiny RV park is between Estrella Mountain Regional Park and White Tank Mountain Regional Park where you can enjoy activities like hiking, mountain biking and stargazing.

Estrella Mountain Regional Park

Estrella Mountain Regional Park does not offer the luxury of any pull-through sites, but there is big-rig access and the hook-ups include 50-amp electric, water and sewer. You will have to forgo wireless Internet service and cable television, but there are so many recreational activities to make up for any losses. Estrella Park has a competitive mountain biking track that runs 13 miles over two loops. The park is also home to 33 miles of hiking trails ranging from 2.3 miles to 8.8. miles. The Gila River is available for fishing; be sure to honor the catch-and-release policy.
