McGregor, Minnesota Campgrounds
McGregor, Minnesota, is known for its beautiful landscapes, scenic parks and fishing lakes. Campers can visit the historic trails of the Savanna Portage State Park or see the impressive array of wildlife at the 18,000-acre Rice Lake National Refuge. Activities for outdoor enthusiasts are abundant, which include hiking, boating, mountain biking, snowmobiling, and wildlife sightseeing.

Savanna Portage

Savanna Portage State Park has accommodations for 61 RV sites with four pull-through sites and 18 electric sites. There is a 55-foot RV length limit. Some sites overlook the Savanna Lake. A camper cabin is available year-round that sleeps up to five people. The cabin is rustic and does not have water and electricity, but there are shower and bathroom facilities available in the campground. The camp also has boat landing, fire rings and picnic tables. With its 15,818 acres of hills and lakes, visitors can explore numerous hiking trails or fish at Loon Lake. Check out the dirt trails for mountain biking and roads for bicycling. During winter, 14 miles of trails are designated for cross-country skiing. Other activities include snowmobiling and swimming.

Pete's Retreat

Pete's Retreat offers RV sites with full hook-ups, 20/30/50-amp service and pull-through sites up to 120 feet. Other amenities include fire rings, picnic tables, cable TV, and Internet connection. Group tenting area is available. Campers can enjoy many activities on site including swimming at the pool, volleyball, horseshoes, and hayrides. Other recreational activities include walleye fishing at the Mille Lacs Lake 1/2 mile away and golf at the 18-hole golf course six miles from camp.

Cloquet / Duluth KOA

This campground has RV sites, tent sites and cabin accommodations. Site amenities include full hook-ups with 50-amp service and maximum length pull-through of 75 feet. The park also features a swimming pool, Internet connection, hot tub/sauna, and bicycle rentals. The Jay Cooke State Park is about five miles away where visitors can hike the Willard Munger State Trail or enjoy mountain biking and horseback riding. About 12 miles away is the Lake Superior Zoological Gardens‎.
