Green Valley, Arizona, is situated to provide travelers day trip access to the Mexican border and Nogales, Tucson and both Saguaro National Park and Ironwood Forest National Monument. Green Valley and nearby Amado together give visitors several RV parks to select from. Choose one that offers extra games and activities or a home base closer to outdoor recreation opportunities.

Green Valley RV Resort

Green Valley RV Resort is open all year, and reservations are accepted. The park offers paved streets and 304 possible sites. Guests can expect 30- or 50-amp electric, sewage and water and cable service is available. Swim in the park's heated outdoor pool and soak in the Jacuzzi. Outdoor games include shuffleboard and horseshoes, or you can stay inside the clubhouse and peruse the titles in the library, play a table game or work out in the fitness room. The park is 36 miles from Saguaro National Park, where you can hike the trails to view petroglyphs or walk to the overlook of the Avra Valley.

De Anza RV Resort

De Anza RV Resort provides full hookups with 30- or 50-amp service and complimentary Wi-Fi service. DirecTV and propane delivery are available. The indoor saltwater pool is heated and guests can enjoy a spa and exercise room. Not your usual clubhouse, the facility at De Anza offers a library, card room, game room, meeting room, dining hall and laundry area. This park is the destination to consider if you are an active, competitive traveler. The park hosts many organized games and competitions--from bocce ball to darts. Social butterflies will like the ice cream socials and pot luck gatherings. The resort is 54 miles from Ironwood Forest National Monument, where visitors can hike or mountain bike through the Sonoran Desert. Sightseeing opportunities include native plants and geological formations.

Mountain View RV Ranch

Mountain View RV Ranch has 70 full hookup sites and 49 pull-through sites for RV owners. Cable television is provided at every site, and Wi-Fi is offered, but visitors should request phone service upon arrival to ensure they receive a site where it is available. Groceries, beer and propane are sold on-site. Take a swim in the pool--open seasonally--or head out to explore. The ranch is located in the Santa Cruz Valley, with views of the Santa Rita Mountains and hiking possible in nearby Madera Canyon, 27 miles from the ranch. The ranch is 53 miles from Saguaro National Park. Visitors can take a scenic bike tour around the Rincon Mountain District, a short hike on the Freeman Homestead Trail or venture farther out into the Saguaro Wilderness Area.
