Strongsville, Ohio, is a midsized community and suburb of Cleveland. Visitors can take advantage of the urban attractions in neighboring Cleveland, like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, or take in games with the home team Indians, Browns and Cavaliers. Lake Erie, one of the Great Lakes, is close to Strongsville and visitors can kayak tour, fish or sail. Once maligned, the Cleveland waterfront has undergone a renaissance.

Willow Lake Park

Willow Lake is a small, family run campground near Strongsville. RV sites have hookups that include 20-, 30-, or 50-amp electric, Wi-Fi, water, sewer or honey bucket service and cable TV. Guests can use the mini-golf course and horseshoe pits as well as tiled showers, private bathrooms and picnic areas. Pets are allowed if they're on a leash and cleaned after. Daily, weekly and seasonal rates are offered. There is fishing and swimming at the lake.

American Wilderness Campground

Guests staying at the American Wilderness Campground can take a day trip to the nearby Amish Country. There are kayaking, boating and fishing opportunities nearby. The campground has RV sites for large and small rigs. Hookups include 30- and 50-amp electric, water and sewer. Guests have access to showers, private bathrooms, picnic tables, guest pavilion and a meeting hall. Pets are allowed. There are seasonal and daily rates.

Streetsboro/Cleveland SE KOA

Visitors to the Strongsville area who like the comfort of a chain campground have this KOA as an option; 20-, 30-, and 50-amp electric, Wi-Fi, sewer, cable TV and water are standard hookups. RVs of all sizes can be accommodated. There are hot showers, playground, private toilets, and picnic areas. Pets are allowed but should be leashed and attended. Wildwater Kingdom Amusement Park is 10 miles from the KOA, and the Cleveland MetroPark Zoo is within a half-hour drive in normal traffic. AAA and Good Sam discounts are offered.
