Kamloops, British Columbia, is located in the south-central region of the province, approximately a 3 1/2-hour drive from Vancouver. Kamploops is located along the Thompson River and is surrounded by mountains and lakes, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Mountain bikers can go to the Kamloops Bike Ranch or the Sun Peaks Resort Bike Park, skiers have access to the Kootenay Mountains and hikers can walk the trails at Estekwalen Mountain.

The Kamloops RV Park adjoins the BC Wildlife Park and offers a range of services, including hot showers, private bathrooms 30- or 50-amp electric, water and sewer. The RV Park offers daily, weekly and monthly rates and there are pull-through sites to accommodate large RVs. Pets are only allowed if leashed. Guests can enjoy the proximity to the Wildlife Park where they can watch species native to the area in a protected and safe fashion. There are cafes on the property and programs for children designed to teach them about the animals and backcountry of the area.

Wells Gray Golf Resort and RV Park

The Wells Gray Resort has 50 campsites that offer 30-amp electric, water and sewer hookups. In addition, there are shower facilities, bathrooms, picnic sites, barbecue grills and a patio for relaxing. Guests who enjoy golf can take advantage of the "Stay-n-Play" specials. Pets are allowed if leashed. The resort offers guided horseback tours, guided hikes and has a trail that leads to a waterfall.

Viewpoint RV Park and Cottages

Guests at the Viewpoint have access to Shuswap Lake and 2.5 acres of campgrounds. Sites come with 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Guests can use the campground's showers, private bathrooms, guest house, laundry, picnic area, playground and dining hall. Swimming and boating can be had on the nearby Shuswap Lake, and hiking trails are within a 15-minute drive.
