Campgrounds in Isanti County, Minnesota
Isanti is a county in the eastcentral section of Minnesota. Several townships and cities are within the boundaries of Isanti County, including Cambridge and Isanti. With the long, cold winters of the region, wintertime activities are plentiful and include cross-country skiing, skate skiing and snowshoeing. During the warm summer months outdoor enthusiasts can canoeon Lake Stoney or Francis Lake, in the county.

Isanti County Fairgrounds

Located in the city of Cambridge, the Isanti County Fairgrounds have spaces for RV campers. There are sites that include water and 50-amp electric hookups. There is no sewer connection, but guests can use the dump station. There are shower rooms and private toilets, a reception hall for guest use and events, and a picnic area. Pets are allowed but need to be on leashes. Cambridge has restaurants and shopping, and nearby Stoney Lake offers chances for canoeing, kayak-touring and fishing.

Springvale Campground

Springvale Campground offers seasonal stays and is open from April through October. Sites have 30- or 50-amp electric, water, and cable TV. The grounds have hot showers and toilets, hiking trails, playgrounds, heated swimming pool, laundromat, horseshoes, basketball courts, and fire rings and picnic tables. Leashed pets are allowed. There is a lake four miles from the campground that has fishing and boating opportunities. Springvale is only 50 miles from the Twin Cities for those who wish a location in the country, yet close to the urban conveniences.

Country Camping

Country Camping Tent and RV Park is on the Rum RIver in Isanti township. RV sites have either 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer, and Wi-Fi hookups. Guests can use the swimming pool, playgrounds, coin-operated laundry room, game room, arcade, shower facility, private toilets, picnic tables and cookout grills. Country Camping has canoe rentals and offers guests a shuttle for river pickups and drop-offs. For those who wish to canoe with a guide, there are canoe guiding options from the campground. River tubing can be had from the campground's Rum RIver location. Pets are allowed but should be leashed.
