Benson, Arizona's RV parks are good places to stop if you enjoy outdoor activities like the 40-mile long San Pedro River Trail hike or the Cochise Stronghold Trail found in the Dragoon Mountains. Benson's RV parks are also a great place to stay if you plan on visiting the Kartchner Caverns State Park. Benson is within an hour's drive of the Gammon's Gul Movie Set Museum, the Queen Mine in Bisbee and Colossal Cave Mountain Park.

Cochise Terrace RV Resort

Cochise Terrace RV Resort has 223 RV sites with 20/30/50 amp electrical hookup, sewer, water and cable TV. This is a good Benson RV park for those looking for a little seclusion, as it is located off the main highway. The setup makes it seem more like a subdivision, as there are lighted streets. Facilities include a clubhouse, dance hall meeting room, heated swimming pool and jacuzzi, putting green, picnic areas and bocce ball court. Kartchner Caverns are 12 miles away from this RV park, and the historical town of Tombstone, with its OK Corral, is just a half-hour away. Several native and interpretive trails are waiting for you at Cochise Stronghold in Coronado National Forest, about an hour away.

Benson KOA

The Benson KOA is available to take your RV rig 365 days a year with a maximum pull-through length of 80 feet. Cable television is available, as is 50-amp electrical service. The swimming pool is open from the middle of March through Halloween, but the hot tub may be preferable for soothing muscles made sore from all that mountain hiking. You can also try your hand at the miniature golf course on the property. The Coronado National Forest and the Catalina Foothills are both about 10 miles away from the Benson KOA. Within an hour or two drive you can also reach the Gila National Forest, Apache National Forest and Stigreaves National Forest, making this RV campground a central location to get you to some of the best outdoor areas in the entire region.

Butterfield RV Resort and Observatory

Butterfield RV Resort and Observatory was named the RV Park of the Year in 2007 and 2008 by Arizona RV Parks and Campgrounds. The park has 173 landscaped sites with 20/30/50 amp electrical hookups. If you have any interest in astronomy, this is one of the best RV parks in the country. Astronomy lectures and classes are held and, as the name of the park indicates, Butterfield has its own observatory. Other on-site facilities include a heated pool and therapeutic spa, library, laundromat, exercise room, ham radio shack, clubhouse and banquet hall.
