Located 36 miles southeast of Coeur d'Alene along Interstate 90, Kellogg, Idaho, history is centered around the mining industry. Situated in Silver Valley along the South Fork of the Coeur d' Alene River, its proximity to Coeur d'Alene National Forest has helped make the area a popular destination for recreational activity. It is home to Silver Mountain Ski Resort, which boasts the longest gondola ride in the United States. Big Creek RV Park is located just three miles from downtown Kellogg and is open all year. It has 22 sites with 30- or 50-amp full hookups and can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet. It features restrooms with showers, Wi-Fi Internet, welcomes families and pets, and tent sites are also available. It is located right on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes for hiking and biking and near a golf course, lake and the Gold & Silver Mining Museum.
