Angleton, Texas, is 30 miles from Houston and 12 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. The Angleton Recreation Center offers fitness training, a pool with a 26-foot slide, an additional pool reserved for lap swimming and a full-size gymnasium for volleyball and basketball. Angleton also has bike paths.

Austin Bayou Golf Course & RV Park

Sites are wide and will accommodate large rigs. Selected sites have water views. Reservations are recommended for those. The park has bathroom and shower facilities, a laundry room and an exercise room. Visitors staying at the park receive a 20 percent discount for the 9-hole golf course. Picnic tables are available at all sites and some offer shade. Dogs are allowed, but they must remain on a leash. They can't be inside public buildings or left unattended.

Dee's RV Park

The park has full hookup sites. There are no amenities at the campground, but golf courses are five minutes away. Hiking and boating also are nearby. Dogs are allowed if they remain leashed at all times. The park has public restrooms available.
