Kal-Haven Trail
This is a 34-mile trail that begins in South Haven and ends in Kalamazoo. The trail passes through several small towns where you will find lodging and dining for multiday trips. It is a popular way to experience the Michigan countryside as it goes through forests and passes by rural farmland. The trail is built on an old railroad bed and is closed to motorized vehicles. Use of the trail requires a permit, which can be obtained through the Visitors Bureau.

The trail is a two-track road that is overgrown with grass in many areas. While riding, it is not uncommon to see small mammals, foxes and eagles. The trail is best suited for mountain bikes but can be done on a hybrid bicycle. Other park activities include hunting, hiking and swimming in Lake Michigan.
