Santa Rosa, N.M., is also known as the City of Natural Lakes due to the town's 12 spring-fed natural lakes. Recreational activities in the area include swimming, fishing, canoeing and even scuba diving. Hikers will find trails winding around the large man-made lake within the Santa Rosa State Park.

Santa Rosa Campground

The campground has more than 70 pull-through sites up to 90 feet. Sites include full hookups with electric, water, sewer and cable. The park also has tent campsites with water and electric, and a cabin available for rent. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, heated outdoor seasonal pool, bathrooms and showers, laundry room and a children's playground. The on-site Western Bar-B-Q restaurant is open daily for dinner and offers delivery to your campsite. Pets are welcome at no additional charge.

La Loma Motel & RV Park

The La Loma Motel has 25 pull-through RV sites with full hookups. Free wireless Internet is available and pets are welcome at no additional fee. The park has few amenities, but a laundromat is located on the premises as well as a motorcycle wash for those traveling with bikes. Joseph's Bar and Grill is next door to the park. Scuba diving is permitted at Blue Hole, an 80-foot deep natural pool a mile away that maintains a temperature of approximately 64 degrees year-round. Divers will need to show PADI or NAUI certification papers to purchase a diving permit, and equipment rentals and tank refills are available at a dive center near the pool.

Ramblin' Rose RV Park

The park has 32 sites with hookups that include 50-amp electric and cable TV. This park does not have Internet access, bathrooms or laundry facilities. Guests have two dining options within a half-mile mile of the park--Diego's Pizza and Joseph's Bar and Grill. Park Lake, which is a mile away, has swimming, fishing and a 32-foot waterslide.
