North Bend State Park
Nestled in the woody seclusion of North Bend State Park, these nine rental cabins offer a convenient place to hike the park's white pine forest, or cuddle up in front of a fireplace. All nine cedar cabins are placed on a scenic ridge, so available hiking trails are a given. Choose a cabin with two, three or four bedrooms, each with central air and heat, full kitchens and bathrooms, and all the linens, dinnerware and cookware you'll need. Some of the cabins are approved for pets, and you must specify if you'll be bringing one when you make reservations. During the summer tourist season, there is a one-week minimum rental for these cabins.

Log House Homestead Bed & Breakfast
Also located in nearby Cairo, this quaint bed-and-breakfast establishment is housed in a two-story log cabin, reminiscent of the type built by settlers of the early 1800s. The owners have taken care to make it look and feel like a real settler's cabin, from the native hardwoods used in its construction to the handmade wall sconces and iron door straps. The living and dining area is downstairs, with two bedrooms and a half-bath upstairs. You have to venture down to the cellar to find a kitchenette and full bath with Jacuzzi tub. The cabin overlooks a private pond, and it's just a quarter mile from the North Bend Rail Trail.

Hillbilly Haven Log Cabin Rentals
This 50-acre getaway boasts five recently constructed cabins within walking distance of Stonewall Jackson Lake. Bring your kayak or canoe---the lake offers an 82-mile shoreline with plenty of inlets and backwaters to explore, all designated as minimum wake areas. Back at the Hillbilly Haven, you'll find stocked fishing ponds on the grounds, as well as a gas grill and picnic table. The cabins range in size, accommodating from two to eight people. They each offer a full bath, kitchen, air conditioning, fireplace, satellite TV and microwave. Some of the cabins have laundry facilities, private hot tub, and/or a dishwasher.
